Boosting Student Engagement in Entry Level Math Classes
Abstract:
Math can feel like a foreign language to many first-year college students, leading to frustration and disengagement. But what if we could change that? In this talk we will dive into practical, research-backed strategies to make introductory math courses more engaging and accessible. We’ll explore ways to spark student curiosity in the classroom. By creating a classroom where students feel supported and empowered, we can turn math from something intimidating into something they truly connect with.
